About the event

When Tibetan buddhism was mainly just a word in the big pot of spiritual ideas and new age longings of hippies, Lama Ole Nydahl and his late wife Hannah brought lasting and profound teachings directly from the 16th Karmapa, the head of the Karma Kadyu linage to the western world. They made them understandable and approachable for our western minds. Over 600 meditation centers worldwide and thousands of buddhist practitioners is the result and there is no end in sight. 50 years ago on the 7th of October 1972, Lama Ole and Hannah arrived in the airport in Copenhagen from the east and started their diligent work. Our wish is to celebrate this anniversary with buddhist teachings, mediation and an empowerment given by Lama Jigme Rinpoche, whom Lama Ole asked to guide this course.
